Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing will develop and oversee strategic initiatives to increase demand and drive qualified sales leads for Bonfyre’s products and services amongst new and existing customers. This individual will work closely with the Sales and Client Success teams to ensure brand and messaging are aligned internally and externally with our customers and the marketplace. The Director of Marketing will also work closely with the leadership team to help inform overall product, sales and company strategy.
Own the development, refinement, and optimization of our ideal client profile and target buyer and stakeholder personas.
Overall responsibility for brand management, corporate communications, sales enablement, competitive/market intelligence, and support of strategic direction and marketing initiatives.
Know our current customers, their pain points, and their success stories and translate these into how we engage all of our key stakeholders (internal and external) and how we build Bonfyre.
Drive results by closely monitoring key success metrics across the entire lifecycle and leveraging data to inform how we test and scale marketing investments.
Develop and optimize the “marketing mix” to reliably drive our lead and sales targets.
Develop and optimize Bonfyre’s engine for driving new opportunities for customer acquisition and expansion balancing acquisition cost, lifetime value, and ideal client profile.
Thoroughly understand the competitive and solution landscape - products, and customers including their potential buying triggers, ROI measures, and influencers. Translate this knowledge into key value propositions, differentiation, and product roadmap enhancements.
Represent and drive Bonfyre participation/visibility amongst relevant industry events, publications, analysts, thought leaders. Develop and iterate our solution experience through content, event presence, website, webinars, etc.
Lead interaction with Sales Leaders (Direct, Expansion, Partnerships) to provide campaign, content, and sales tool solutions - asses impact of efforts and optimize against KPI.
Drive best in class product marketing including product launch management, white papers, presentations, and other customer-facing materials to build awareness.
Additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred
10+ years of relevant marketing experience with increasing responsibility. A significant amount of this experience should include work in young, high-growth, SaaS marketing environments
Experience working in the HCM or Employee Engagement markets preferred
Successfully launched a company, new product, or campaign and can point back to specific success metrics.
Demonstrated ability to formulate, articulate and construct a Marketing strategy that includes elements on the business, Marketing approach, targets, competitors, target market, positioning, key messaging, website plan, Marketing action plans and budget.
Experience working with Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Wordpress (or similar marketing tech stacks)
Experience working with Google Ads, social ad platforms, or other digital advertising platforms
Highly self-motivated, flexible and comfortable with change involved in early-stage startup
Excellent verbal, written, and visual/presentation skills
Proven leadership and organizational skills
Must be humble, hungry and smart
